NICOLÁS CAPELLI

Nico Capelli is a screenwriter, producer and film and TV director. He worked in large production companies in Argentina and Chile such as Cuatro Cabezas, Dalí, Aleph Media and Cineworld SRL. Capelli has been the Director of TV programs such as Philosophy Here and Now (nationally and internationally awarded) or Society and Stadium, various advertising pieces for brands such as Pfizer (Ibupirac campaigns) and video clips. He directs documentaries (such as Histories of History, Reconstructing the Faith) arriving at his latest work in this genre: Point of No Return of next premiere, in which he toured Argentine provinces and North American states, interviewed NASA scientists (in Goddar, Washington) or Representatives such as Alexandria Ocasio Cortes or Bernardo Kliskberg to expose the reality of climate change in the world. 

In Cinema, he directed two feature films (Matar a Videla and El Encuentro de Guayaquil). The latter premiered in 2016 in Argentina and various countries around the world (including Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, the United States and Europe) and was awarded at various festivals: 

 Official Selection of the Mar del Plata Film Festival. Nominated for Best Screenplay by the Argentine Film Academy. Winner of 6 awards at the Ecuador Film Festival, including Best Film and Best Actor.

Nicolas was the winner of 7 awards at the Caracas International Film Festival, including best film, best director, best actor and best production. Nominated for Best Picture at the Los Angeles and Vancouver Independent Film Festivals. In addition, it was selected in 2016 by the Government of the Argentine Nation as the Bicentennial film.
